The Wonderground is a full service golf lounge and liquor bar located in the basement of the historic Wonder Building at the corner of Post and Broadway in Spokane, Washington. It is accessible both from the first floor of the Wonder Market on the east end of the Wonder Building and from an exterior stairwell on Broadway.
When you enter the Wonderground, you will be taken back in time to a bygone era, both of golf and of Spokane, and in some places the two combined. Try to name the two famous golfers whose life-size pictures were painted on the walls by the well-known local painter, Daniel Lopez. Scrutinize the pictures of the people and places on the wall next to the interior entrance—do you recognize any of them?
After you’ve had a chance to mill around our state-of-the-art aboutGOLF simulators, try to locate the entrance to the liquor bar. You will, eventually, and once you do settle in and stay awhile. Though just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the busy City, you’ll feel like you’re miles away in distance and years away in time.
The Wonderground is operated by Ethan Stowell Restaurants, one of Seattle’s top restaurateurs. Ethan Stowell Restaurants also operates the Wonder Market, located on the north side of the first floor of the Wonder Building—directly across from the Wonder Garage.
Parking is available in the nearly 400 space Wonder Garage, located adjacent to the Wonder Building, as well as on the streets around the Building.
